On December 14, 2020, the Tourism Products and Business department by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) had assigned the SAT authorities to partake in a press conference regarding the strengthen of face mask measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through the “Ogre also wears a face mask!” project. The press conference which took place at Suvarnabhumi Airport was presided by Dr. Suwanchai Watthanayingcharoenchai, the director-general of the Department of Health, Wg.Cdr. Suthirawat Suwanwat, the director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, and Gen. Traithep Siphanwong, the incident commander. Apart from the press conference, there was also a campaign that encouraged airport passengers to wear a face mask and regularly use hand sanitizer.
